Now that I’m back home, I want to tell you all about a few places I stayed at during my South East Asia holiday. My favourite place I stayed at was the beautiful Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort. My boyfriend and I wanted to stay in a more peaceful area of the island, and Bophut was perfect for us.
Upon arriving, we were shown through a beautiful reception area to the library where we were given a welcome drink and waited a short time for our room to become available.
The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and we were given a tour of the hotel and shown all the amenities available, including the spa, restaurants and bars.
The hotel was right on the beach, with its own private area, whilst also boasting a truly beautiful infinity pool. During our stay, every couple of hours the guests are treated to a small complementary refreshing juice shot whilst sunbathing, and also given cold, mint scented flannels to cool down with. It was these little touches that highlighted why this hotel really is a luxurious, elegant resort.
We were upgraded to a stunning Suite with a beautiful view of the pool and sea. Of all the hotels we stayed in, we felt this was the most beautiful, whilst also maintaining an authentically Thai feel. Our room had a huge king sized bed, with an enormous bath that split the room between the bedroom area and the bathroom. There was also a small lounge area, plus two balconies.
The breakfast buffet was the best we had whilst traveling for a month, with a wide range of English/America, European and Asian options which changed daily. Lunch at the Full Moon restaurant sitting above the pool, with a stunning view of the beach below also gives guests a range of cuisines from around the world.
Every inch of the hotel had been well designed and decorated. The art around the pool and down to the beach was charming, with clear Thai themes throughout.
We had never stayed in an Anantara resort prior to this trip, and both my boyfriend and I would not only go back to the Bophut Koh Samui hotel, but also would love to stay in any one of their hotels across Asia.
